Jean Georges Steakhouse
Perched in-between a French restaurant and an Italian delight, is a fine steak house that exudes an aura of sophistication and grandeur. Its sleek, modern façade and polished brass accents draw you in, creating an air of anticipation for a culinary extravaganza. The attentive servers glide gracefully between tables, their smiles radiating professionalism. You peruse the menu, filled with tantalizing descriptions that promise a taste sensation like no other. Our server (Kristine) was very nice and EXTREMELY knowledgeable, but did not read our cues, like you're giving us WAY too much information on this business, we'd just like to eat our food because it's getting cold kind of vibe. However, I don't want to beat her up because she was very accommodating, attentive and helpful.
We ordered the steak with prawns, with a side of lobster mashed potatoes. When the steak arrived, it was beautifully seared and garnished with precision, a work of art on a plate. But as you cut into the meat, the flavor fell flat, leaving you disappointed. The once-promising symphony of tastes has devolved into a mediocre melody that failed to impress. However, the prawn and potatoes were absolutely astounding! The prawns were so soft and flavorful I almost fell out of my seat. We ended with the warm chocolate cake and while it was spectacle to watch it unfold from its white chocolatey shell, the taste was uneventful... Overall, this place had great potential with all the appropriate ingredients, but it didn't compare to the many other options for fine steakhouse dining around Vegas.
